The Dietary Guidelines for Americans,2010 contains recommendations for healthy food choices and physical activity for the nation. This report is updated and issued every 5 years by the Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The information that is presented is fostered by the 2010 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee which consists of scientific experts. The goal of the document is to increase knowledge and to put what is learned into action by facilitating heathy eating as well as regular physical activity, with its latter purpose of improving the health of all Americans ages two years and older. Throughout the Dietary Guideline for Americans, 2010, emphasizes are fixed on concerns about American’s health. In this day and age, the American people as a nation are experiencing a pandemic of overweight and obesity which is linked to poor diet and lack of physical activity resulting in illness that can become terminal. The Old Mill hotel is not just a hotel it is a hotel full of great history and a lot of experience in the industry. It has great sightseeing places like lakes, waterfall, and it is located in a very good neighbourhood. With these being said, there should not have been any sudden reduction in sales or people that stay in the hotel. But as a young consumer we can see areas in which the hotel is lacing. According to the information given to us in class, we see that those who visit the hotel mostly are 65 years old and above (Professor Victor, Blackboard).
